Some of them charge as little as 1,800 yen per month. Farm equipment is also available for rent, and some farmland comes with a shed. Here, one can meet people from all walks of life. A family digs potatoes with their children and makes potato butter right next to the field. Others have found enjoyment in watching the life of vegetables as they wither and die.
