8.40 45 minutes CHI concerns SZE a lot but SZE does not thank him at all. SHING and his wife set up a shop selling rice. They convince CHAN to help them manage the rice shop. TIP falls into a pond. YIK saves TIP. TIP admires YIK. One day, a eunuch, CHOI, passes by. He recognizes KWAI is an ex-eunuch, SIU HING CHI. KWAI keeps away from CHOI. CHI finds KWAI very suspicious and questions him. KWAI then tells CHI CHOI's bad deeds. KWAI secludes in a small town so as to keep away from CHOI and his persecution. CHI encourages KWAI to report the case to the governor but is stopped by YIK.
