In response to Regina's repeated hints, the faculty and students set out to honor her 10th anniversary as principal. While Lydia tries collecting donations, her lack of success prompts Steve to turn the task over to Coretta. And as Lovita assembles decorations and food, Cedric promises he'll deliver Regina to the surprise party on time. Meanwhile, when Romeo's mother arrives unexpectedly and needs a place to stay, Cedric and Lovita insist she move in with Steve.
