He had already been incarcerated for a similar charge before and, not wanting to return to prison, failed to show up to serve his time. For 15 years his case had gone cold after US Marshals and local law enforcement in South Carolina were unable to locate him. But when Commander Lenny DePaul reopens the case after a loose tip comes in that the fugitive might be living in Manhattan, he assigns it to Deputy Michelle "Michy" Mendez, a young investigator. Michy, determined, makes it her mission to prove to Lenny that she can crack this case, one that has eluded other Marshals. But with almost no concrete leads, and only one 15-year old photograph to go on, it is a formidable task.
