When he meets single divorcee, Susan, it's love at first sight. Can this "difficult kid" and this wannabe mom make a success of their match? 12-year-old Melinda has been in over 20 foster or group homes and when she finds herself in yet another home with over 20 other kids she is desperate to get out. However, there is one sticking point--Melinda still has contact with her biological mom and although she dreams of an adoptive family this may put the match she makes though the program in jeopardy.
