When the Pig Deva – Vikarylamon appears Yamaki freaks out again and initiates the Juggernaut program despite Henry's dad protesting that it will hurt the children's good digimon. The partners track the Pig Deva down but even after digivolving to Growlmon, Gargomon, and Kyubimon they are unable to affect the deva at all. Wishing for help, the tamers find that if they wish to protect others they can matrix digivolve.
