However, things changed when, Hai Yang's mother was killed by a killer-litter while shielding him from a falling flowerpot. His father plunged into depression, which resulted in self-destruction. Since then, Hai Yang's relationship with his siblings became soured and treated him indifferently since their parents' death. As soon as Hong Shan and Hai Yang's relationship blossoms, by a sudden twist of fate, it turned out that Hong Shan was the culprit for Hai Yang's mother's death .
