9.50 4 minutes Before entering hypersleep aboard the USCSS Covenant, several members of the crew record final messages for their loved ones at home. Daniels tells her father how excited she is to be colonizing a distant planet; Oram talks religiously about their responsibility in creating a new world; Rosie expresses her loneliness at the thought of being out in deep space; Lopé makes a businesslike final status report, expressing his concern that a six–strong squad may not be adequate protection for the mission, and Tennessee shares a drink with his younger brother and comes clean to the Weyland-Yutani Corporation about his felony record, of which they were previously unaware.
